When we’re creating, we get to see what our purpose and value is, and we can step out and see how we can contribute and make an impact in the world. Our purpose is to contribute our creativity to society. My job is to challenge you, make you accountable, acknowledge your successes, celebrate them, and give you a place where you can be 100% yourself with no judgment and just live.

Client V - Growing way more than her bank account
Client V, a graphic designer, wanted to increase her bank account and use her time more effectively. Her goal in the eight weeks of coaching was to “prime the bank account” (i.e. add money).

Background: Client V had just started her business in January 2005. She had areas that required growth including the courage to ask for her desired fees. What we discovered is that V worked a lot of hours and didn’t know the value of each hour. We were able to sort out the fear and find an hourly rate that produced the desired result. Once V found the desired hourly rate, she directly took action. V was courageous but she was not aware of her courage. She accomplished the action quickly she established and presented her desire rate to her clients[RG1]  and saw results immediately. Her clients accepted her new rate without a struggle. 

Work/Relationships: V was able to create and establish a mission for her company and understand its purpose. She also saw that she spent a lot of time working and very little time with family and friends.

Physical Environment: Her physical surroundings were also out of line. Her bed was broken which did not make her feel good and wrecked havoc on her back. She discovered that a bed was very important to her well being.

Health and Well Being: In addition, not eating balanced meals while working and not taking the necessary bathroom breaks created a physical ailment that required her to see a doctor. She saw how she compromised her well being.

Results: By week eight, Client V, accomplished her goal to “prime her bank account”, plus a bonus. V had $23,000 more in her account and another $20,000 in bookings. Since then, she has met her goal of $200,000 by over 50%. She was being kind and generous to herself, creating relaxation time, eating balance meals throughout the day and taking time out for bathroom breaks.

V got engaged to her boyfriend during our conversations, something that she had declared. She re-established a relationship with her father before he left for another state. V also started bike riding to add exercise and serenity to her life and give her the opportunity to empty her mind throughout the day. Consequently, these actions opened more creative outlets.

V’s openness to coaching, creating actions and being honest with herself allowed her to accomplish her goals. Accepting challenges and being courageous gave her ease and grace to accomplish her initial and bonus goals.

Client X – Living her passion and getting more in return
Noreen Sumpter entered my life at the perfect time. I had been looking for a coach who would get me, help guide me, push me and support me. I didn’t want someone to baby me, but someone who was by my side who understood what I wanted and wouldn’t let me give up. Noreen is that person.

From a very young age, I have wanted to pursue comedy – my passion in life. I was stuck for many years in a very fearful and negative place that kept me from pursuing my love. Noreen has helped me go after things that I thought I wasn’t “ready” or “good enough” to do like submitting my work to the Comedy Central show “Premium Blend”.

In addition, I went from performing every few months to about 6-7 times per month. It’s still short of my goal, but I don’t see it ever slowing down again. I have great momentum, I’m proud of the work I do, and I have so much fun with it. I’ve even gotten paid for my work, and that was something that I didn’t think possible before.

Comedy was a big priority for me to tackle, but it hasn’t been the only thing we’ve worked on. Each issue becomes part and parcel of something else. Finding the confidence to do more with my comedy has given me confidence in other areas. Noreen has helped me see that, learn from it and use it to drive other parts of my life. She has also helped me get out of the perfectionist mode and release some control in order to get things done.

What I love most about working with Noreen is that I feel completely comfortable and safe talking with her. She does not judge me or question my actions. She does exactly what a coach should do - listen, support and encourage. I appreciate how flexible, realistic and down to earth she is, and I can tell that she has a real passion for her work. I experienced results much faster than I ever expected, and I have her to thank for that.

Noreen quickly earned my trust--and when you’re dealing with sensitive issues, you need that. She gives me the space to express myself freely without judgment. Many people say they won’t judge you, but with Noreen, you know her support is genuine.

Since working with Noreen, I’ve accomplished a great deal. I’ve been accepted to comedy festivals, written humorous wedding toasts, gotten a new apartment, starting dating more and been able to find more balance in my life. It’s funny that when you take on new things, other things manage to fall into place.

Noreen has helped me see that the universe will truly provide as long as you’re clear with what you want and need. And she’s right. When I decided a few months ago that I wanted a life coach, she came to me. That’s enough proof for me.

Client Y - I ’ve come a long way. But I didn’t get here on my own…
Two years ago I was in the worst place I have ever been in my life. I was in a job that was totally unsuited for me. I was sending out resumes like a crazy freak, but getting no bites back. I was frustrated (understatement). Financially, I was unstable. I hadn’t had a vacation in three years. I hated my living conditions. My health was suffering – I had migraines and didn’t sleep well. I had no time to socialize with my friends. All of my relationships were stressed in one way or another. I had no interest in dating after my last relationship disaster. I wasn’t creative in any sense. I had so many unfinished projects that I never seemed to have the time or interest to complete. I was 40 years old and not having much fun. I was completely overwhelmed by the state in which I had let my life progress to. I wanted change – I wanted my life to be better – I just didn’t know where to start. I was stalled….with no gas to get going, and even if I had gas, no map to guide my direction. And, then in popped Noreen, like a gift into my life. I began to work with her on a trial basis.

I’ll admit, I was leery of this process at first – life coaching – I didn’t even know what it was. Could it really help me? Luckily I was open enough at the time to give it a shot. To this day, I still remember the first time I spoke with Noreen. She was so upbeat and positive – and I longed to sound like she did. She had an “anything is possible mentality”, and in that first conversation, I realized I wanted that same mentality for myself.

We began by focusing on my career. She instructed me to stop sending out resumes, stating that the perfect job was going to come to me. Stop sending out resumes…the job will come to me….was this woman serious? But, really, what did I have to lose? It wasn’t like I was getting any bites on my resumes anyway – not sending them out would actually be a weight lifted off my shoulders…one less thing I had to do. So, I stopped sending out resumes. Instead, we used that time to design - on paper - the perfect job for me. I put my trust in Noreen, the process, myself, and the universe to provide. To my surprise, within a couple months, the perfect job came my way. From that point forward, I became a true believer in this process and what it is capable of. And, I began to wonder what other changes I could make in my life.

Through my time working with Noreen, I have improved every single aspect of my life. I landed a wonderful job that I love (even today – two years later). I moved to another state – something I would have never done before working with Noreen. And, I love where I live; it feels like “home”. I have worked myself out of debt and am financially stable (even prosperous) now. I take vacations and I treat myself to things I want - because I can afford them and I deserve them. I have learned to receive from others – something I was never able to do before. My health is fabulous. I rarely ever get migraines anymore, I sleep like a normal human being, and I exercise regularly. I look and feel younger than when I started this whole process. All of the relationships in my life have improved. And, I have a wonderful man in my life now – who surprisingly was there all the time, I just hadn’t realized it. I am having fun and loving life.

Working with Noreen has not only changed my life, but it has also changed me. I stand up for myself now. I take risks. I am open to possibilities and opportunities. I have a new-found trust in the universe to provide. I am happy…yes, happy! I feel free and live in the present. I am positive. I believe in me. I now have that “anything is possible mentality” that I longed for the first day I spoke with Noreen. Today, when I look at myself, I see a healthy woman before me – one who is balanced in all aspects of her life. A strong woman who has tackled so many prior obstacles that sat before her. I see a woman who looks at life as an adventure now – looking forward to all the wonderful things she can create in her life.

But….I didn’t get here on my own. I had a fabulous life coach by my side for the entire wonderful journey. Noreen has taken on my life with me. She is invested. My wins are her wins. Her support and encouragement are immeasurable. (Sometimes she gets more excited about my wins than I do.) And, she is wise beyond her years. No matter what I bring before her, she always has the insight or tools for me to work through it. As I move forward in my life, I wouldn’t dream of moving forward without Noreen. I always say that I could be losing everything around me and I’d still somehow find a way to keep Noreen and my acupuncture. Both I find invaluable in my life. Thanks Noreen. Client A - Looking forwards...
It’s nearly a full year since I first met and started learning from Noreen’s teaching. A chance phone encounter of me responding to a subleasing ad ended up feeling like sweet destiny. No, I didn’t rent the apartment (we both realized it wasn’t a good fit) but liked speaking with her so much in those few minutes that I uncharacteristically asked “Who are you and can I just meet you anyway, you sound so wonderful?”, she agreed and only then told me what she did and how she helped people. She doesn’t advertise, by the way…but still they come. The cost nearly scared me off but my life was galloping away and I thought maybe someone could help me rein it in.

I knew from the start that this was going to be something entirely different as she had no real interest in “my past”. Since so much of my then turmoil seemed rooted in a toxic relationship (with my then husband) this disinterest in my ‘history’ seemed novel. The first meeting I needed reminders to get back in ‘my head’ whenever I would bring up my partner’s point of view or my confusion/sadness over certain actions of his.

Let me be clear, it’s not like therapy or chatting with your friends, that sometimes easy endless churning over drama and the past in a search for answers and reasons to “why?” (not to knock that, it has its place and time if we need completion), but it’s about change with a capital C. It’s about being the director in your own life. It’s about stopping and realizing what you want now. That is the essence. “What-do-you-want?” is her mantra, four simple words but somehow not so easy to answer. I’m happy to say I’m still turning over the phrase and getting closer to finding my unique answer but also that I’ve come a long way. I’ve legally and physically ended an abusive relationship, am fully (and solely) providing for my child in ways I didn’t think financially or logistically possible and am busy imagining other changes to come.

As Noreen told me at the beginning of my journey, when I knew I needed a more stable environment for myself and child but didn’t know how to go about it “you don’t have to see the whole staircase, it’s about taking the first step. The abundance will come, first we have to imagine it”. My life has changed both quickly and positively. Noreen’s infectious belief that “what we desire will come if we allow ourselves to fully picture it” and that we always have the power to choose has been a great tool in reshaping my world.

Several months ago, while working in finance, my life goals were quickly slipping away from me. I'd been working about 55 hours a week and was feeling the pressure of not really having a creative life outside of the workplace.

One day, while online, I decided to research life coaches as I've always been interested in having one, since it seemed that most successful people do. From Google I found lots of coaches, but only a few in my town, out of about 5 coaches Noreen was the only one who actually had a great and accessible website, after being on her website for some time, I decided to give her a call.

Instantly I felt a connection, my instinct was to go with her. Although I was excited about having a life coach, I was concerned with the method she used. But instantly I found her approach to be very clear and helpful, and also very personal.
